Earning up to $500** is easier than ever—but it won’t last!

Here’s how you’ll earn even more until October 5, 2021:

$30 $20 for each of your first 3 successful referrals

$40 $30 for each of your next 4 successful referrals

$50 $40 for each subsequent referral up to a maximum of $500**

That’s the smartest math we’ve seen yet.

If you’re wondering who to refer, think about those friends who may be getting hit with higher bank fees and minimum balance restrictions. Don’t they deserve to earn 1.25 %* on every dollar, with free transactions, no monthly fees, and no minimum balance or other banking nonsense?

It’s time for them to earn more without all the banking nonsense, along with the $30** they’ll get when they sign up through your referral link!

We’ll let you go now, so you can keep referring before the bonus offer runs out.

**Limited time Referral Bonus offer - ends October 5, 2021. Conditions apply.
When you make a referral between 0:01am August 5, 2021 to 11:59pm October 5, 2021 (the offer period) you may earn a Referral Bonus of $30 for the first three new accounts opened, $40 for the fourth to seventh, $50 for the eighth to fifteenth (up to a maximum of $500) deposited to your Savings Plus Account. The Referral Bonus will be paid if the referred individual successfully opens a Savings Plus Account using a valid referral link during the offer period and funds the account (minimum $100) within the promotional period ( 0:01am August 5, 2021 to 11:59pm October 5, 2021.

The post is confusing.

It should be:
$30 for the first 3 successful referrals,
$40 for the next 4 successful referrals,
$50 for any successful referral up to the $500 maximum.

EQ has almost always offered the highest interest rate over the past few years. Simplii and Tangerine both offer higher rates in short term promotions lasting 3-4 months, but EQ's rate is almost always the consistent highest (Canadian Tire's bank is also up there, but not as user friendly). So they're nothing special for every day banking, but they're a good choice for holding emergency funds or money you'll need soon that you don't want exposed to risk in the markets.

EQ is a bit of a hybrid account. It's marketed as a high interest savings account and their rate is competitive. You can also open up sub accounts (up to 5) for saving goals inside your main account. But you are also able to pay bills from EQ.

Dang it have maxed out the referral limit on P1, P2, P3 and P4s account. Does any one know if you close the account and reopen it, will the referral limit reset?

Simplii HISA is 0.1% I think, just a bit better than TD lol. EQ HISA is 1.25% now. Used to be like 3% before the pandemic
