No, not at all, if it is YOU that is checking your own credit report.

If it's a bank that is checking your credit report because you asked for a personal loan, that's a "hard inquiry" and will marginally impact your credit score even if you get declined for the loan because it shows that you are looking for credit.

I signed up for Borrowell, showed my my score. I already knew it from my RBC app. (same score) but I wanted a report, history of my credit. Does this site also provide that as well?
It's not all about saving a few dollars....its the Principle of it :)
