Ergobaby 360 vs Omni 360

I picked up the ergobaby 360 bundle (including infant insert) for $155 from bestbuy this week.

I haven't seen a great comparison against the omni 360 but I think the omni is a 1/2 lighter, comes with the carry case, and doesn't need the infant insert. In either model I'd be looking at the mesh version as I hope to be walking around this spring/summer.

Is it worth waiting for the omni to drop down to $170-180ish which it appears to to do every couple months on amazon? Or is the regular 360 good similar enough?

I have the Ergo 360 and this ergo hip seat cool air from Asia https://ergobaby.com.au/products/hip-se ... arbon-grey
The ergo 360 definitely get hot in the summer, especially if you’re using the infant insert. Regarding your note on the infant insert, it’s for when the baby is between 7-11/12 pounds. So if it’s not really optional if you want to use it when the baby is in that weight range.
Now I got the hip seat cool mesh when the baby was around 15 pounds, and it feels so much better for my back from the wearer perspective! And then i used the cool mesh all summer and while it’s still a bit hot (which I think also has to do with body heat from wearing), it is a lot better than the ergo 360.

There are a few designs of the Omni 360s currently on sale at Ergobaby.ca for $159.00. https://ergobaby.ca/baby-carrier/omni-360

We lucked out in Nov 2018 when we ordered one of the Omni 360s on sale, and Ergobaby site applied additional 30% off at checkout so paid $111 + tax. Then they ran out of stock on the sale item so they let us pick any model we wanted and ended up with a nice mesh one. Though I wouldn't expect this price level again as we think the extra 30% was an error (said it was for a bundle order).

Having used the original Ergobaby with infant insert for our first kid, can say the Omni 360 mesh is much better. Super comfy, stays cool and gives lots of support.

Thanks but the sale ones are the regular omni and I'm focused on a cool mesh one either in omni 360 or regular 360.

I recommend finding a store with the models you're interested in, and trying them out (with baby if possible). Additionally, It would be nice if the staff is knowledgeable about the equipment they sell, which unfortunately often isn't the case. For people in the Montreal region, Agatha Boutique in Mirabel is superb, and worth the drive.

We ended up going with a Lillebaby All Seasons 3D Mesh, and it has been great -absolutely no regrets buying it . We found it lighter, less bulky, softer, and way more ergonomic compared to the Ergobaby.
