If you have the space, I would highly recommend getting a VESA laptop holder + a VESA arm to declutter the surface of your desk. Makes cleaning with a Swiffer Duster easier too.

Something like:

Sure it costs more, but the ergonomics were much better than just a laptop stand.

While true... not everyone needs this setup... I personally have the laptop stand and monitor on my desk and it's fine. Yes I don't have much "table" space but I find I don't need it either. I have a pull out keyboard tray for my keyboard and mouse

Use this daily to keep my laptop at eye level, I connected a separate keyboard and it has worked quite well for me. I appreciate that I'm not as hunched over anymore. Good buy for my fellow work from home peeps

If it currently works for you and you are happy, why change. This one is about double the price and yes it's way more stable for your laptop.
