Junk wax era nostalgic hockey card boxes and factory sets for a pretty good deal.

For example, you can get the 1991-92 Score complete set for just $15 (660 cards)

Threw several boxes into cart and shipping came to about $22.

anybody remember collecting hockey stickers from the early 80's?

i was able to find these cards at a local card shop for about the same price. I remember everyone trying to find the Eric Lindross rookie card in one of those Score cards.

was that the "Future superstar" card? if I remember, he signed an exclusive contract with score.. if you wanted his rookie, you were buying score.

i still remember 90/91 opeechee premier cards here were going for $15/pack. rookies in that set were jagr, roenick, federov, modano, sundin...

upper deck was another level, didn't buy much else after they showed up.

90/91 opc premier still has a lot of value. The Jagr rookies in there sell pretty well if graded high.

I don't remember everyone looking for that Lindros card, I remember everyone having one already because they printed a ton of them.

I once asked a friend of mine who was a hardcore sports card buyer and seller if he wanted my hockey card collection, ca. mid-late 90s, and he immediately said no, they are worthless.

Incidentally, I have a number of these same sets that I could be convinced to part with at a surprisingly low price...

As someone who grew up in the 90's collecting hockey cards, pretty much all of them are worthless, haha. I used to buy those Hockey Becketts and monitor the value of my cards from month to month as a kid.

Around the start of quarantine I fired up the ol eBay and started listing. I swear my "best" cards as a kid, those fancy shiny ones and all that, are mostly worth around $5 each nowadays, I think the highest I sold was $15.

If you want them just to collect though, who cares. I also feel like if you ever collected cards in your life, you should buy at least one box in your lifetime and be a kid and open the packs one by one.

Yeah right, millions of monopoly money. Just like the comic book industry, the sports card industry self-cannibalized itself in just under a decade with the mass printing in the mid-90's. Collecting sports cards was only a 90's decade fad specific only to Gen-X, as it never sparked any interest to Gen-Y and Gen-Z due to their ever dwindling and shortened attention span.

Upvoting for the nostalgia!

Good to know that my stash is worthless. A few years my kid found the binder in a cabinet and started to remove them all from sleeve and yelled at him. Now I know I clearly overreacted Grinning Face

The 90/91 OPC Premier complete set is definitely worth more than $30. Maybe you are confusing it with the 91/92 set which is being sold for $20 right now.

Here's a nice video that has several of the 90/91 Premier rookies and what they sold for in USD.

Good for the nostalgic feeling and for my kids to start collecting something.

I had a choice of collecting nba cards vs nhl cards when I was a kid.. guess I picked the wrong one to collect in terms on monetary values lol

I’m wondering if someone bought these in bulk in the 90’s and are taking a huge loss or these are dead stock from the factory that were stored for 30 years?

I have every card listed in mint condition and I don't think I could get 50$ for the 20lbs box of 90s hockey cards its in.

The Brodeur card always made me laugh. Serious dude what the hell what that... just shave man (or use tweezers)

I clicked through this video and it's kind of misleading. Yeah, maybe as a graded PSA 10 card, which almost no one that had these as a kid would have in that condition. Plus the fees and turn-around time right now to get a PSA grade done... makes it not really worth trying for. Good luck getting a PSA 10 grade on a Pro Set Ed Belfour card. :)
