Reviews show it's decent out of the box for the most part with PLA.
Get it, set it up, and start printing to see if you have issues.
Other filaments may require tweeking and possibly modified cooling shrouds, but you can play that by ear.

If you're planning on larger prints, start with a BL touch and then see if you have any other issues that need addressing.

Did you compile your own firmware or did you download it from Eryone?

I use Cura as my slicer.
To design your own items, start off with Tinkercad, it is very easy

I was given a Ender 3 v2 for Xmas. Well, my Dad bought himself one, and gave my brother one as well. So we've been learning the ropes since then. I use Cura as the slicing tool to generate the gcode files that the print needs. Down load the .sla from thingiverse, open in Cura, slice and save to microSD. Insert into the printer and print. It's a fairly painless process once the print is setup and configured.

As for creating 3D objects, I've been learning with tinkerCAD. Its a beginner modelling tool from the makers of autoCAD. It's a browser based tool.

As mentioned, tinkerCAD is easy and actually useful for a lot of designs.

If you actually want to invest more time and learn how to use a real design program, Autodesk Fusion 360 is essentially free for "students" for what they claim is a year.
I signed up as a "student" 2 years ago, still works fine.. (Currently a student getting my PhD in Pornhub studies).
Worst case, make a new email and sign up again.

Lars Christensen is a great Fusion 360 resource on Youtube, he's employed by Autodesk and has a lot of tutorials and such.
I went straight to Fusion 360 using Lars' tutorials, it's more useful than TinkerCAD, but DOES require you dedicate more time to learning, so it's your call.

I'm looking forward to getting my printer so I can print a few convenience items I designed for around the house.

I use FreeCAD and it's equally easy. I had no clue a week ago ...i learned lot just from You tube videos. i can take any STL File and modify them to make my own Remix.

I will not trust them. I asked for filament what I needed ..came back saying no stock. I knew this shady practice of dumping junk to people. So I put my condition on order. Well they refunded me and since they charge in USD ...I lost 22 bucks back in exchange. Now, they removed the offer and trying to get money on group buy. Now pay more get less....

Buyer beware. I don’t see them as reputed brand. My money is safe with loss of 22 bucks and I will buy Creality

I was going to test their product and put a Q&A, Tips and Assembly solution but now on next project of Anycubic

Sorry, it is a bit difficult to understand what you are saying? You asked for the filament as in you tried to make a request on the colour and type of filament and they refused? Or did you make an order but they came back saying they did not have enough stock of the filament in general? Of course, they would have to refund you for this but is the printer any good is my question...? And are you saying they are dumping the junk printer on you or dumping inferior colour options for the filament, I am confused on how you determined it junk? I just bought an Ender 3 non-pro but the item I wanted to print was too large for the print volume any suggestions on an alternative?

Lots of good local GTA Canadian filament supplier constantly offering deals. i just got 20 rolls from two different suppliers and will post their review on youtube.
Average cost 20-25 bucks delivered and they are local so i can call them and discuss the issue on phone.
