espressocoffeeshop.com 10% off coupon

Deal Link:
Retailer:
espressocoffeeshop.com
espressocoffeeshop.com is based out of Italy but is a shop that several RFD'ers have used to purchase the Eureka Specialita coffee grinder. Refer to espressocoffeeshop-650-eureka-mignon-sp ... v-2463507/.

You will need to pay shipping and customs but for the Specialita it's still significantly cheaper than etailers in Canada/US. I checked out the Rocket R58 and it's cheaper by about $1200 CDN before customs. But for more expensive items like espresso machines you may not want to risk buying from out of country.

espressocoffeeshop.com has updated their website and are offering a new coupon code that looks to be 10% for most if not all items.

NEWEBSITE2021

This is a niche post as it's for generally expensive coffee gear, but those looking the 10% off is a good deal.

Anyone that's purchased from them before, how did you get notification from UPS of money owed for customs? Did you have to pay before item got delivered? Is there any international warranty for the Eureka Specialita?

Can’t remember re notification but I think I probably paid in the app. Definitely before delivery. Warranty situation is iffy. The Specialita is great though.

You used UPS app for tracking? I asked espressocoffeeshop.com about warranty and they said unit would need to be returned to them or they would send part(s) and instruct on how to install. Customer responsible for shipping to them and they ship free back to you. Seems reasonable and the latter would work for me. Thinking I'll pull the trigger on this to replace my current grinder that's starting to jam up intermittently. Seems like a motor issue.

Yes. Looking at my email I didn’t get any messages from UPS, but I paid the duties via PayPal, so it must have been done in app. It was about $85, so probably just HST plus a $10 fee.

Thanks for sharing everyone. I bit the bullet on a white Silenzio, since there were no Specialita's in white. But, this worked out for me since I single-dose and don't need the digital screen for timed shots. They're effectively the same machine except for the slightly larger burrs and for almost delta of 70 EU/$100 CAD, it wasn't worth it for me.

Update: Holy, they shipped in a day and it arrived in 3 business days. Taxes were 13% on the product $57, and UPS brokerage fee of $10+tax. No duties, yay!

Any clue why the all black (15bl) version of the Specialita is 10 Euro cheaper? Chromed plastic is more expensive?? :) Although looks like no stock of the 15bl right now.

Wondering if those that have ordered from esspressoshop.com chose UPS or MBE (MailBoxes Etc) for shipping. FYI, I chose MBE (in true RFD fashion to save 3 Euro) and it's shipping via UPS anyway. MBE showed it could ship via DHL, FedEx, UPS. Was curious whether other couriers may charge custom fees differently, but it's coming via UPS and saved a marginal amount..shipping was $32xx Euro for the Specialita to ship to BC.

esspressoshop.com is quick on shipping, slow on replying to email. My Specialita arrived in 4 business days, paid UPS $69 in taxes and customs fees to BC. Overall worthwhile savings from domestic vendors.

Has anyone ordered an espresso machine from them?

I had my equipment shipped via UPS and the customs and duties were all within fair and expected prices. The handling fee or whichever fee is UPS taking their share was something reasonable like 15 dollars.

I'm not sure how typical the bill serving and payment method was as it was during COVID. The UPS driver dropped off the package, served me the bill and said "I'm supposed to tell you to pay that" and he took off. I paid via telephone as the UPS online system is ridiculously convoluted.

As others have said the shipping is incredibly fast. I think purchasing machines is worth the warranty risk as the packaging is resistant and the manufacturers typically have tight quality control. Just be sure you're getting 110v units.

With all that said, dont discount your local supplier or Canadian dealers. Theres many great national dealers with solid service and selection.

I agree with what you've said. UPS brokerage is much more reasonable than they once were. I'd prefer to purchase from local or Canadian shops but a net 35% discount of buying from overseas is hard to turn down for the Specialita. It helps that the Euro is weaker vs Cad at the moment.

When I'm in the market for a new machine, I'll have to check in on espressoshop.com.
