There is an offer every time after I fill up my tank...this is so unfortunate.

For anyone wondering I always do the fill $20 or $25 or whatever and get 2k points. I always fill exactly and I still get the points right away so before tax/after tax thing doesn't apply in my experience

Still cheaper to fill up at Costco if you need premium gas. Premium is usually around the same price as regular gas from a normal gas station. They normally charge 26-30cents/litre more for premium over regular. Total rip off.

I have the 2000pts/$20, expires August 11, 1 time offer. I fill $20 and if it’s close to the next liter, I would fill it to the next liter to get the 7 cents/litre.

This is a PC optimum offer that works on Esso and Mobil, not just Esso,

If you’re willing to spend $155 for their membership and wait in long line ups.

I paid $60 + HST for their membership and get gas first thing when they open (early) once a week. Worst case, 5 minute wait.

I just paid two $100 plus fill up. And no offer for me on pc app at all…
1. Buy cheap, buy twice
2. Don’t buy because it’s cheap. Buy it when needed or it brings convenience/happiness/better quality in life
3. Buy now think (regret/return) later
4. If the gut says don’t tell your lady, don’t!

I wait until the night to fill up, when the other stations get to around the same price. I then add in my promos, and becomes cheaper than Costco... and I didn't have to pay $55.

This is the only thing worth getting at a Costco gas station. It's ridiculous how much other stations charge... 5 or 6 fill ups, and you have paid for your membership. Used to do the same when I needed the premium stuff.

aw1883 wrote: Certainly the 2000/$20 is based on the pump price, when I do this I choose $20 on the pump so I don't go a penny over. Always get the 2000 PCO. "Before tax" is probably standard boilerplate disclaimer intended for products where tax is added after (almost everything); there's no way you could figure out "pre-tax" on a pump ahead of time.
Agreed

However if you use a fuel discount card, it seems to deduct the discount before determining if you hit the spend threshold.

This is great in combination with the spend $100 at Esso pump, get $20 credit offer from Amex for eligible cards.

I f'ing hate PC Financial / PC Optimum. There's a lag of 3-4 days by the time i get the points from using my PC financial, and it's 50/50 whether I get points for filling up gas at Esso. PC Financial customer service is the worst. Absolute worst.

Just paid $1.389 cents/liter this morning for premium. I don't have a choice. Can't beat that price anywhere in the GTA from the regular gas stations.

I find the points per L is prorated so doesn't matter to fill up to next full L

Wow... In BC we pay close to $1.70 for regular gas... Sigh
