Why does a company like Eufy/Anker need a kickstarter?

… nice try Eufy.

Like that time you promised people HomeKit doorbells coming soon, and then decided NOPE!l after people bought them.

Beware. Eufy breaks promises. :)

It’s not bad deal if you looking for lock and doorbell..

Ring door bell cost around 150-200 plus monthly subscription, and door lock is around 120-150$.

Eufy tends to over promise, and then not deliver. They had promised expandable storage support on the homebase, its even printed in the box "expandable storage coming soon through software update". Months later, no update, more time passed, they actually said no its not coming ever.

Came here to say this. While I like Eufy/Anker and have a lot of their products, a lot of the promises never come to fruition. But it's nice to see them expanding their product line. Favourite part is the non-subscription model.

Many people concerning on the lock not compatible with Homebase. If I dont have any Eufy product now, will the not compatible with Homebase issue bother me?

Eufy is purely 100% Made in China, there are sites you can pay per peek all over China... keyword: "Eufy security camera leak sites"

The PIR motion sensor might not work well behind the storm door glass.

I was looking into them and I don't get why their weird version of the doorbell can't work with Homebase but their battery one does.

I don't understand why they can't make both work.

Also pretty sure in their advertising video they talk about being able to expand the b storage.

As much as I love my Eufy doorbell, for my door locks I'm going to stick to traditional security companies like Assa Abloy (Yale & August), Spectrum (Weiser & Kwikset), or Allegion (Schlage).

and this is bad because google and amazon definitely respect our privacy and dont have access to our nest and ring cameras right? and do you think you are important enough that they would have actual people monitoring your camera feeds? they probably have more than enough information from your browser and search history. the camera feeds are most likely just for big data, machine learning, and AI development. nobody cares about you to invade your actual privacy.

Say no to eufy. they promised the RTSP on the doorbell, after 2+years=no.
My doorbell is a hit and miss anything after -10 degree. It is not made for Canadian weather.
