Semantics and obfuscation.

Only the 2nd time in US history that a President fires a federal investigator who was investigating him. The fact that Comey was the head of the FBI actually makes this worse.

And oh, who do you think was supposed to lead that investigation you try to pretend does not exist? AG Jeff Sessions. What happened? He had to recuse himself because of his ties to Russia. Who replaced him? Comey. And who recommended that Comey be fired? AG Jeff Sessions.

Nope, not fishy at all. Move along, nothing to see. lolll

Its an outrage. Why don't you fire him. "Schumer too: Lost confidence in Comey in November"
"I do not have confidence in him any longer," he said in early November, calling Comey's 11th hour decision to look into Clinton's improper private email server "appalling."

There are several other examples that show the partisanship in the current Democratic bid to defend Comey.
Its an outrage. Why did you fire him? This is coverup.
In talking with Trump, Schumer said he was making a mistake in firing Comey. "Are people going to suspect coverup, absolutely," he said.
In A March 27th 2017 New Yorker Profile, Sen. Schumer (D-NY) Stated That "You Could Say If Comey Wasn't There We Would Have Won." 'When you lose to a candidate who is so unpopular—yes, you could say if Comey wasn't there we would have won,' he went on, referring to James Comey, the F.B.I. director. 'But we should have won anyway, with Comey and with the hacking.'" (Elizabeth Kolbert, "Can Chuck Schumer Check Donald Trump?," The New Yorker, 3/27/17)
Flashback: Schumer was against Comey before he was for him
“There are some things money can’t buy, and for everything else there’s MasterCard. Well, get out your checkbooks ladies and gentlemen, because it seems like the entire liberal cabinet can be bought. TRUDEAU: I CAN’T BE BOUGHT...LMAO. Because its 2017

I laugh. It is funny reading that Trump fired Comey to cover up Russia because had he not fired him those very same people would be claiming that is proof that Comey worked for Trump during the election.

The root of all of this is Loretta Lynch's moronic decision to meet secretly with Bill Clinton during the election. Had that not happened Comey would never have stuck his nose into the email investigation. Lets also not forget that none of this would have happened had Clinton not deleted emails that did not belong to her, did not keep a private server, and did not lie about it all. and had Uma's emails not mysteriously ended up on the computer of her sexual deviant husband.

1. Praise Comey for his handling of the Clinton case.

2. Repeatedly quote Comey on his handling of the Clinton case.

3. Express your full confidence in Comey.

4. Get investigated by Comey for treason.

5. Fire Comey citing his disgraceful handling of the Clinton case.

Yes..except difference being the FBI director was found of wrong doing and didn't get fired because what or who he was investigating
Sessions, appointed by Ronald Reagan, had been under investigation by the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility during George H.W. Bush's final year in office.

Here's how The Times reported the findings at the time:

"The Justice Department report found, among other things, that Sessions had engaged in a sham transaction to avoid paying taxes on his use of an FBI limousine to take him to and from work, that he had billed the government for a security fence around his home that provided no security and that he had arranged business trips to places where he could meet with relatives."

Sessions dismissed the findings and refused to resign.

Sessions had no ties with Russia. He was stupidly accused of not disclosing contacts with Russian ambassador, contacts which were never hidden in fact. The reason he recused was not the alleged ties but alleged perjury during confirmation which is an entirely different matter.

Wow... This is crazier than house of cards .. wonder if this was what led to firing of Comey by white house

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/09/politics/ ... index.html

Washington (CNN)Federal prosecutors have issued grand jury subpoenas to associates of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn seeking business records, as part of the ongoing probe of Russian meddling in last year's election, according to people familiar with the matter. CNN learned of the subpoenas hours before President Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey.

The subpoenas represent the first sign of a significant escalation of activity in the FBI's broader investigation begun last July into possible ties between Trump campaign associates and Russia.

Trump might just learn why the US was a pretty great country to begin with. Ironically.
