Was browsing the EVGA B-Stock website and found this 1080-TI for $399 USD seems like a good price considering even used without warranty sell for more. These deals are usually on Wednesdays only but this will likely OOS before then.

They ship via UPS so you may want to self clear customs if that is an option for you to avoid their insane brokerage.

What's the best way to "self clear" customs? Thanks

Not bad if you can somehow avoid high import costs

Better off to wait for the new 3000 series

I think overall it's not a bad deal, but if you're getting by with what you have now I strongly suggest you wait. With the next Gen on the horizon I think deals on the 2000 series will come and at that point getting a powerful 2000 card is better than a 1080ti for the ray tracing alone.

Thanks for sharing deal. I'll make sure to check B-stock everytime I travel to the US for business trips. Really sweet deal, but I'm not paying for Customs :)

Call ups and them them you want to self clear I think they refer to it as "the self accounting procedure for personal shipments under $5k", (but don't rat yourself out, wait until they tell you taxes are due). They will send you a slip, you then take the slip and invoice from EVGA and go to your local customs office, mine was near Pearson Airport (it's open 24/7), you pay the taxes and you send UPS a scanned copy of your receipt and then pick up your package. Bought a RTX 2080 and PSU for around $600 this way and paid like $80 in taxes because the guy at the customers office let me pay on the total in USD.

This is probably missing stuff and there are more legit guides to do this online.

No import costs, just the taxes in your area and your time.

Some Wednesdays their sales are insane, people sometimes buy them just to flip

Thanks. I'll check out how to do it. You're essentially bypassing the import fee correct?

Yeah, the brokerage part of the fee is removed because you are doing the work, and you pay the taxes.

Some 2080 Supers for $699. Seems like an okay deal as thats what I paid for my 2070 Super earlier in the year.

Edit: just realizing this is USD...

Raytracing isn't that significant to begin with and most games are not optimized for it either. The 1080ti is still the best bang for the buck than the 2000 series in terms of performance if you just want to push 4k ultra at high fps
