Excel question

Hi I got a Excel 2013 spreadsheet issue . On spreadsheet top part is slicer where people can select province the bottom part is vlookup table (not pivot table) shiwing some sales numbers .

It works well . But I find that column A of vlookuo table is too narrow
I adjusted by increasing it width but as soon as I select diff province on the sliceethe width is back to where it was

How can I freeze the width ?
Thx

I quickly built what I think you are describing, but I don't experience the shrinking column. I am using Excel 2016 though.

With the limited data you provided , it is not likely I have everything set up the way you do. Could you post your spreadsheet if it does not contain personal info? Perhaps you could build a real small test spreadsheet (6 items in table) , and if it exhibits the same problem you could post that sheet.

It looks like you have some hidden cells at B77 and B78.

I'm not sure what they are for, but they report they are part of a pivot table when I try to remove them.

Removing them anyway, does stop the shrinking column widths.

Excel has a know problem that columns shrink when using pivot tables.
