The RPW-10 subwoofer for $200 is a really good deal in my opinion. I auditioned it and it sounded very good. It is indeed a musical sub and would be better suited for music than shaking the house as it only goes down to 35Hz but that 35 Hz is done exceedingly well. Don't get me wrong, it has plenty of kick just not that low rumble in your chest and rattle your windows kind of bass :) It'll still sound very good as part of a home theatre....especially at 200 bucks you just can't go wrong. If this was 200 when I was looking at them I would have picked it up in a heart beat.

IMO it is like buying a car. You can get one that does 0 - 100 kph in 30 seconds, or you can get one for a few dollars more than can do it in 10 seconds. You could say that you'd never need to accelerate that fast, but there are times when you WILL need it so why cheap out?

Like I always say: it is far better to have an ability and not use it than to need an ability and not have it....

This is the worst analogy I've ever read.

I've seen at least one TV on the Futureshop limited stock boxing day flyers that you could buy NOW for the same price.

Nothing special this year except some blu-ray movies. Maybe some promotions have already carried out earlier and FS does not want to lower price much to avoid losing profit. In my view, I could wait for much better deals in the coming few months.

I think it really depends on what everyone's looking for. For the gamer, there's some decent offers, ie: Alan Wake.

Personally, I'm in the market for a 3D TV and the Sony 55" package is intriguing to me (not here to start a 3D TV debate).

I do not want to argue with you, but be careful, 3d tv price lower and lower very fast during the past year. Just compare and wait, you can get what you want.
And one more thing, you can bring the flyers of boxing day to FS on Dec 24, maybe some sales can give you the same price and free shipping. My friends did it last year and it was no problem. it makes deals more sweeter. You can enjoy 3D earlier.

Is Wii Fit plus a good deal? I remember regular price is like $99, for $49 it sounds like a steal, any catch?

The catch is something called the Kinect!
Pepsi: First a XBox360, then a Samsung 40" LCD HDTV, then a Sony Ericsson W300i, then a Samsung 32" LCD HDTV, then a ...

Coke: What!? This isn't a $2249 Dell Inspiron 6000! It's an entry level $899 laptop! But hey, thanks for the two Nintendo Wii's!

I am also very interested in this bundle as it is essentially $700 off the current price . I am going to go check the TV out and see how it looks as well as wait for the BB flyer (hopefully up soon) before deciding if its worth it.

I am looking to spend about $2000 on a 54"+ TV, not necessarily with 3D but I do want a 'higher' end model.

GTA
any suggestions on these tv's?

i've read reviews online and it seems both are pretty good, but i cannot decide on which one.

1. Sony 46” LCD TV 120Hz
Model: KDL46EX500
Boxing day sale price: $799.99
Link: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/ ... 22dd33en02

OR

2. Sony 46” LED TV 120Hz
Model: KDL46EX713
Boxing day sale price: $1,199.99
Link: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/ ... 2cb6efen02

Does paying more for the LED worth it?

Many thanks!
:)
