I find that people are reporting Hot Deals to soon because of dynamic pricing and they are been moved to expire..

eg; when the reg price is $40 and is one sale for $20 then goes to $22 and someone reports it expire..

is it still a hot deal at $22 and shouldn't be moved to expire ....because the price went up a little....

Thread creators have been given the option for reviving their Hot Deal Threads themselves, without intervention from RFD staff. It appears like an option on their threads (only to the thread owner/creator).

IMO, there's a lag of two days between when a thread is reported expired and when the thread is being purged by RFD staff from HDF and moved to EHDF. It's enough time for the thread owner to update the opening post and the thread title (etc) with the latest information (people reply to thread informing OOS, price changes, etc.) to prevent people from reporting the deal as expired. But if the [OP] leaves their thread unattended (orphan), their thread usually gets moved.

This thread control privilege feature (expire/unexpire thread) is being abused, though, to revive zombie threads multiple times even when there's already a fresh thread (by another poster) when the deal reappears (due to different price reduction or the item becoming available again). It just creates very long threads where the opening post is irrelevant and only the last few post pertain to the current deal.
