Extending existing patio ideas?

I have an existing paver patio and am looking to extend it, the problem is the brick I used from Best Way stone Strada Antico no longer exists. Any suggestions what I should do? Should I buy a similar brick and keep my existing border to separate the new from old brick? or should I use a different material all together?

Thanks

Not so easy there Ma…
Are you covering all the green space of your backyard with the brick stones, it kind of looks like it? If so, where's the water supposed to go during downpours? Will there still be proper drainage at your home and the neighbors? Do your city bylaws permit doing that?

I do have drainage on this side. And I also have more grass outside of this picture. I just want to cover the area with the X.

The key question is what are you using the extended area for? Is the shed staying? Is the extension to allow more convenient access from the shed to the patio area without going over the lawn?

Ah probably should have mentioned this, thanks. I want to extend the patio to use as a seating area. Probably put a couch there. And I will turn the shed to face the other direction. And the area is approximately 11x13.

I'd start by taking one each of the existing field and border bricks to a few supply shops to see if you can find a match. Naturally it would be ideal to re-route the border and continue the field.

If you can find something the same dimensions and close in colour or even a contrasting colour, and you're doing the work yourself and don't mind the extra labor, then you could pull up the existing field and mix the new stones in to blend the new material in and achieve the extra square footage.

...or you might consider shifting stones from an unused area of the patio over to that space, if you don't need more sq ft but rather want to redistribute what you have.

I think this is what I'm gonna do. Move stone from another space and in that space I will put newer similar stone. It's under a gazebo.

Looks like there is a difference in grade as well. So you will need to consider how to address that. The patio stones on the right looks like it's almost a foot or more higher than the elevation of the shed.

I'm assuming you don't want to raise the shed? Putting seating there may not work. Getting stones in there is not a problem and you're existing ones don't look very unique. I'm betting you could find similar ones. Check Kijiji as well to see if anyone is getting rid of any.
