I'm not sure if these are any good but Facebook Portal 10" is selling for $94 each tax and shipping included when you buy 2. You can also ship to different addresses for free. Regular price is $249 although it was already at $129 for boxing day, now they have the additional discount when you buy 2.

It has Alexa built-in. Less apps than Google Nest or Echo, but comes with a web browser. The camera 13MP wide angle and video calling seems to be the highlight of this smart display.

It has Alexa built-in so I think it should work similar to an Echo?

For reference, other 10" smart displays are selling over $250 + tax.

I would pay $94 to Facebook to never ever track me across websites.

Had no idea this existed but TBH for the price you are paying less than a comparable Chinese digital photo frame on Amazon (much less than one with WIFI).

I bought a Nixplay Wifi for my mom and it was $199 on sale.

I hate FB as much as the next guy but I'd call this a great deal!

The killer app of this is that it also supports Zoom, Webex, Teams, BlueJeans, and many other video calling systems that Echo devices don't.

I wish the TV version supported these though - I would buy it in a heartbeat if it did.

Probably not as a dedicated digital photo frame.

I have two and they are great for calling on FB Messenger, Zoom, WebEx. Great for WFH. It is a bit unresponsive though. Voice assistant is good as well. Highly recommended.

The same people that hate on this are the same ones that use whatsapp and have/want an Oculus. Ironic. Just stay off the internet if you’re that paranoid.

These are devices really good to keep in touch with grandparents and the elderly who arent too tech savvy. Super easy to use as well.

I bought one for my 87 year old mother last February. Opened a FB account for her and added family and friends. She had trouble using all other video hardware because of her dexterity. I got a modem and wifi for her and she's loving it.

I allows her to see her family (kids, grandchildren, friends and even her Dr. ) as well as talk to them. She recently confessed that the possibility of making or getting a call is one of her primary reasons for combing her hair and getting out of her pyjamas and housecoat. I keeps her connected to the world in these covid times.

I went through a lot of frustration, as she did, trying to get her to use a plethora of other devices.

I get the strong feeling for FB, I also have them, but the Portal has a use for her and I support that 100%.

Be safe out there.

Everything sells at a price and someones crap can be anothers treasure.

NM! Have to add 1, two times. Not 2 at once.

I'm not seeing how to get this deal on the site linked? Added 2 to cart and no diff in price.

Where does it show $94? Shows $129 for me.

EDIT: okay nevermind it only shows up after you add 2 in cart.
