[Factory Direct] OLED 55in LG B9- $999 certified refurbished. Online stock-free to store delivery

First time threader here. I know that certified refurbished and Factory Direct as a whole is looked down upon on here, but for $999 and the option to add on warranty, this is the cheapest I’ve seen for the B9 by far. Not quite the C9, but a $1000 OLED is hard to come by. I’ve recently purchased a VIZIO 2019 m series quantum from Factory Direct and I’ve had no issues with it and it works like new.

That's a good deal, but buying something through FactoryDirect that costs more than $100 makes me a little uncomfortable. Is it final sale/no returns?

Boy do I hate FactoryDirect, but what's the catch here?

I would love to make a unit like this an oversized 55" monitor, how did FactoryDirect screw this up at this price?

Somewhat tempting.

90 day warranty on refurbed OLED sounds very risky (especially from Factory Direct). Might end up being a $1000 e-waste (too big to even be a paper weight).

It's that burn-in, truly a dice roll.

Less of a risk as a standard TV or gaming panel, than a monitor.

The only tv I ever bought that died quickly came from factory direct. Also, these TVs are likely anything but factory direct. They are probably ones deemed “non-refurbishable due to burn in or cosmetic damage.

If they let you open it up, and run tests at 4K60 Full RGB for a little while, then maybe it's a win.

This was 2012-me.

I would even pay the $100 for the extended warranty if it wasn't complete garbage.

This thread should probably be moved to C&E to protect the innocent.

I bought a refurbished Ipad about 3 years ago from them and surprisingly never had an issue with it. Just hope you get lucky and don't get a dud.

I'm surprised with FD's staying power. No refunds, I believe you can get store credit for defective stuff in the first week. Wouldn't risk spending over $100 there personally.
