You don't have to get two to get the discount at Farm Boy, just get one for $2.
Currently happy customer with Koodo and Virgin Mobile.

Maybe it is region specific for No Frills (used postal code from Ottawa/Kanata)?

FarmBoy, very expensive. The first and only time I went in one (4 yrs ago) I met Mr. Boy himself. The store manager was following this guy around the store like a puppy dog and at some point he whispered to me "he's the owner".

So I asked Mr. Boy why the celery was $5. He politely explained how expensive shipping was at the time. Very nice guy to talk to. Now everyone cells selery (sic) and everything else for ridiculous prices.

Keep in mind these are romaine hearts. That 6 pack is likely close to the same weight as buying two normal heads of romaine.

Who would have thought 5 years ago, we would be upvoting deals on lettuce, amazing! If the recession that is predicted prevails, this should be interesting times ahead. Let’s hope for the best.

Thanks for the post.

Romaine lettuce is listed as 3.88/2 pk on page 3 of the NF Ontario flyer (same box as mushrooms).

Romaine Hearts are usually much smaller than a head of Romaine.

For those that want to PM at RCSS with the No Frills 2PK, RCSS do not sell the 2PK around here so no PM available. RCSS will PM with Farm Boy but I do find the produce at Farm Boy is much better than at RCSS and No Frills.

Growing seasons change and we shifted from California lettuce (droughts, fires, and bad growing season) to Arizona lettuce, which has a better yield this year. I believe it was California to Arizona, but I'm not 100% sure.

When the shortage hit there were import experts saying that it would only be a few weeks/a month until we shifted regions it is sourced from.
