Feature(s) added: • PortOut Notification-60day from Bell

Hi all,

I called Bell this morning because a promotion on my daughter's cell phone will be running out shortly. When they told me the cost to upgrade her plan, I declined. They then tried to sign me up for a bunch of other crap, and I hung up. I just got emails saying for all my phones, not just hers:

"Feature(s) added:
• PortOut Notification-60day "

Anyone know what that means?

I called Bell. It signals that I threatened to leave the company. They're trying to tell me that it indicates they want to keep me happy? I'm so confused.

Means bell will get a notification within 60 days if you change companies (port out) your daughters number. Usually they'll follow up with a offer to get you back.

Interesting, thank you! Would they follow up before she leaves or after? From what you write, I assume after, which seems kind of backwards.

in bell winback - they called them “Smart Q”

If you ever get a chance to talk to one of those customer resolutions specialist - you would be amazed they would do for you to keep you with bell.
But once I dropped bell like a hot potato - I wasn’t going to go back.

You have to port out and they call you back with everything they have.

Not sure but smart Q also supports other agents and on the floor offline orders for bell as well as technical issues with local technicians so they are rarely ever on the phone accepting calls. More calling out.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the intel! The Koodo SIM is in the mail, so we'll see what happens next. :)

That seems like a dumb way of doing business. Why not make the customer happy while they still are a customer? There is a cost for the customer to leave. Would Bell shoulder for the cost to unwind the plan with a different service provider as well?
