This is not even socialism, its like perverse version of communism.
In the original version it says "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs"
Well, in Yang's version of communism, you dont have to contribute anything to society, you just take from it.
Also, look at Norway. They didn't waste their oil money, stashed away 1 trillion dollars, and now are able to basically subsidize 50% or so of the cost of EVs for their citizens.
Nobody is complaining.
Or Alaska, where each citizen is getting something like U$1200 every year from the government from oil exploitation fund.

People always compare Alberta to Norway, but never mentioning that Norway didn't pay taxes that eventually get transferred to Quebec, also they didn't have Quebec and BC blocking shipment capacity. There are plenty of places to assign blame, not just Alberta.

As for UBI, I can see it benefit Canadians, would definitely reduce stress in this ever changing job market. Also, how does it benefit Canadians to send millions of our tax dollars overseas? I see UBI as the final solution to the future of humanity as everything gets automated.
