[Fido] 150u Home Internet for $45/month + 9GB Cell Phone Plan for $40/month YMMV

Hello, first time posting so please be gracious!

Called into Fido for their $75 150u plan with $150 Amazon gift card yesterday. The friendly rep quickly offered me the plan for $45 ($30 off for 12 months) with the $150 gift card. She said that this is a new promo that they started offering everyone yesterday.

She asked about my cell phone plan (I was planning on moving from Rogers to Koodo) and she offered me the $50/9GB plan for $40 ($10 discount for 12 months) as a bundle with the internet package. I took that too.

Didn't see this anywhere online so YMMV, but the rep made it seem like it wasn't a "special" bonus just for me.

Notes:
  • I'm considered as a new customer, never had Fido services before. Might not be available to current customers (didn't ask)
  • Plans are the in market $75/150u & $50/9GB BYOD plan
  • I called in and got the rep almost immediately, didn't try Chat.

Thanks OP. Went to the store and they have it as well.

Internet 75 = $25 off for 6 months + $100 GC (walmart or Amazon)
Internet 150 = $30 off for 12 months + $150 GC (walmart or Amazon)

You must register for the gift card offer within 45 days.

Eligible = New students with a valid student ID OR Activating Internet 150 for the first time.
Not elgiible = Non students or customer with existing Fido Home Internet.

If you have Fido and never had internet 150, you should be able to get the $30 off discount + GC.

Seems like a great deal. Was the $30 discount per month only available if you bundled your services with a cell plan, or offered on a standalone basis?

Thanks.

Thanks.
The $30 was a standalone discount, $10 was from the bundle

Good deal with the $30 discount and the $150GC. Might have to shop around in 12 months after discount ends though.

currently got internet and inquired about a cell plan as well yesterday
no offer of additional $10 off for me for the in market $50/9gb plan, just a variation of the plan - $55/11gb
any additional lines are $5off though

Mine ends the same time and after speaking with them, it's new accounts only.

Best internet promos come during back to school and Boxing Day. Remember to sign up and then cancel after 12 months.
You can renew almost every year. If they give you trouble, just go in store as they only care about the commission :)

How much is the installation fee? Is it for Fido mobile customers only? Do they also take $30 off per month for 12 months on 75 Mbps service?

For self-install there's no install fee. Don't know about discounts on other plans
