Yeah bill is correct modem is included with the $45, you need to go into the actual PDF statement and shows you the break down, they start charging you when you get the modem in the mail. Not installation.

my internet cuts out every 2 days and i have to restart the router to fix it. It was never an issue with Carrytel before, could the new Fido modem be the cause?

I literally had the exact same Hitron modem with Carrytel.

Probably, I’ve had zero issues so far but I’m just using the modem to bridge

same

also make sure the CGN is standing vertically as they can get hot and cause issues if left horizontal

For those who may be confused about partial charges and credits, they use 31-day month for calculation
Internet: $67 / 31 x 8 days = $17.29 (sep.11-sep18 = 8 days inclusive)
Modem: $8 / 31 x 7 days = $1.81. (Most likely you received modem on 9/12, so only 7 days)
Savings: $30 + $30 / 31 x 8 days = $37.75

So far I've noticed two things;

-Speeds seem to drop to less than 5 Mbps around 9pm, lasts a few minutes to an hour+
-Noticing intermittent connection drops throughout the day. It's already happened twice this morning. Lasts for about 10 seconds, but when working from home, this isn't ideal

Been waiting for live chat to give me an agent for 30+ minutes now...didn't have these connection issues with Rogers (though I had the Rocket modem, not this CGN3 from Fido, maybe that's the issue?

EDIT: apparently they're currently doing a "rebuild" in my area due to recent outages, so maybe that explains the issues. We'll see.

I had to contact Fido 6 times over a mix of phone and chat to get this deal. Chat finally worked after I connected with a rep from Vancouver. I just told him I heard about this deal from a friend who got it. I was on Rogers before and there was a little bit of an issue with that but I got it done. Super nice rep. Just keep persistent. You'll get it.

The fido tech was not required for ur connection?

Coaxial cable should be routed to my home as I had rogers. Just wanted to see if anyone is facing the issue?

Received the modem today (ordered on Sat), but one of the power supply prongs is broken and barely hanging on by the wires attached to the rest of the adapter. We have contact...with live person on chat, hurray.

Anyways, not sure if you can call them deals, but this is what rogers is offering publicly for Internet residential:

Usually you won't get a deal unless you bundle Internet with cable, or go to an Ignite package.
I agree. I had rogers before bell so have coaxial cable to the house
