Just searched through my emails from last year. I ordered Fido Sept 4. According to my bill for that month, I was charged starting Sept 5th. I can't find an email with reference to my modem shipping, but I'm assuming that it was shipped the next day and I was billed. Maybe it's different now and it starts billing the first day it sees activity on your modem.
