Just did the live chat, the $150 gift card is valid for students and will end Sep 30 or while supplies last. The service rep is unsure of when the internet promo will end. There is a phone and internet bundle discount of $10 off for 12 months but it is only valid for phone plans at regular price, not the 9 GB phone plan for $50 or any other phone plan promo.

I'm on the marking for both phone and internet. Fido, Koodo and Virgin all have the 9 GB plan for $50. Fido and Virgin has similar internet plans but Fido might be faster. I'm still debating.

I am on carrytel on $45 for 100/10 plan and thinking of switching over. Anyone switch over to 150 plan?

I was on same plan and bought the modem from them. Dont see why not switch over to this...more speed, more reliable, more savings.
Only the big 3 don't win court battle again
otherwise there is no guarantee

Oh, I'm not sure which one is provided by Fido. I just saw Hitron being referenced in this thread.

I had numerous issues with PUMA 6 chipset modem which is why I purchased the TP Link outright. It's worked great so far so I'm wondering if I have Fido provision that router instead of what they are going to send me instead?

Signed up with no questions over live chat. Not a student but the rep did not call that out as a requirement
Just to give you the details of the promotion will save you $360 for the next 12 months, so you'd be only paying $45/m (12 months) instead of $75/m (no contract, no activation/set up fee, modem included in the price) + you'll receive a bonus of $150 gift card for amazon as well.

Will Fido allow you to use your own modem??

Asked Bell too.and they mentioned the internet has to be theres. Someone else here mentioned Virgin doing the same.

Just wondering what cabletv or streaming tv people are running with their fido setup.

Just want to confirm with others, what their first bill looks like and how much partial credits you got, from sept 9-13 I got partial charges, then billing for sept 14 - oct 13th, I got 34.84 in credits.
Before taxes the price is 52 (7+45)
Seems correct to me right?
I am just confused to as why the order confirmation from fido in the critical information summary states a savings of -37.74/mo ?
States this underneath in the pdf "Excludes applicable taxes. This is what you will save each month until your monthly savings end."

I have done the math for my first bill and it is correct I just cant see where the "37.74" comes from

I have rogers cable. I have a splitter on the coax line coming into my place, one goes to the fido modem and the other to the rogers nextbox.

Also have a "totally legit $10/month iptv service" using some chinese android box using ethernet. Works perfectly fine.

Called FIDO and got the deal. The rep didn't ask to confirm if student. No connection fees. Thanks OP!

I got the deal at Fairview Fido store. $45/month + $150 Amazon card. However, the wifi quality is really bad (ethernet works fine though) I suspect the modems are not of good quality.

Anyone connected to orbi rbk 50 with coda and what's your speed test shows? I am getting :93 mbps down and 17 up

If i run a speed test from Coda (without using Orbi) then :300mbps down 14 up.

Even i put the the Coda into bridge mode still the speed is less than 100 mbps down when i use Orbi. Not sure what i am missing (I am using cat 5e cable)
