How can anyone say no to 24 months of free 4 gb service, and financing an ipad @ 3.67 a month for 24 months...
I can. Easily. Apple? No way. Yech!

But maybe someone on the Fido free tablet thread might care ;)

I do see $10 plan but I don't see the option of $5 due to pre owned

You are getting it free, and additionally fido gives you extra $5 towards $10/4GB plan. Pretty good deal I'd say..

How long have you had this tablet lines for. I am trying to sign up for a new tablet, wondering if they will do that on new lines. Last time they did that few months back.

Do you have any current Fido account with running bills (wireless/home internet)? if so there is a chance just call and ask if any of the prior "free tablet + free data" for existing customers returned. If not and this is your first service with them you would be lucky to even get the plan at full price without an existing wireless plan.

Good luck

i have my my $10 4GB for 6 months without a talk/text line. 50% off added 3 months ago.
I may try getting a CPO Samsung or Huawei tablet if they let me have one for $0 down + $0/m with $5/m credit for 24 months.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $36 5GB, $12 250MB, 2x $7 50min/50text, Fido $5 4GB data only plan with a free tablet,
Zoomer $36 loyalty 4GB plan, $0 FPL home phone. Have a better and better day!

This week on Wednesday, I received the following text message on my Fido 3 GB data line, which looks to me like a scam:

“Hello, this is an important message from Fido. Please contact us regarding the account you have with us at 1-888-818-6678. Thank you.
Rogers
Do not reply”

Is it just me, or has anyone else received something similar? A red flag is how the messaged is signed “Rogers” instead of “Fido”.

Now, the funny thing is that several years ago I had received the following legitimate text from Rogers, regarding a valid issue. It was sent from the same number as the one this week - 647-448-9950 - but the latter one could, of course, be spoofed.

“Hello! It's XXXXXX from Rogers Office of the President.
Please contact me @ 1.844.379.4290 EXT XXXX to discuss your concerns. Thank you.
Rogers
Do not reply”

Note the resemblance between the two texts. Thoughts?...

Call/chat Fido. Relate the text message and ask them if it and the 1-888-818-6678 number are legit.
