[Fido] 4GB tablet plan + CPO Tablet For $5/mo (Existing Customers only, 2 yr agreement, YMMV)

Get $5 per month for purchasing a Samsung Tab A 8.0 or Huawei MediaPad T5 10 and bring down your DATA only bill to $5 per month with Fido's $10 for 4GB data only offer.

Edit: These are the Certified Pre-owned versions.
Edit 2: They are offering the ZTE Grand X View 3 as of now. It is not a Certified Pre-owned version. It's new.

Usually tablet (data only) plans are for existing customers only. But I am aware that people have gotten it without having another line with Fido. If you are looking for a phone plan, they also have a few other offers going on.

$14.17/month for me as device cost in final step otherwise free data plan yes. This changed in the very last step, otherwise it was going to be $5/month all in. Existing Fido tablet data plan only customer. This is for Huawei T5 CPO.

Mine shows as $5 per month during all the steps until the order review and confirmation page where the price switches to $15.25 per month for the tablet. Looks like the bill credit didn’t kick in properly.

Seems the 4GB plan jumps up to 18.50 from 10 on previous screens. I am guessing it's due to how their system is set up. Maybe they can't have a negative billing amount? I screen saved all screens up to final showing $5. With tax on tablet it should be 7.02 for me total.

I bought it. Waiting for contract to be emailed. So far, still showing the higher cost of 15.52

Just got off the phone with Fido. Re-certified Huawei is sold out. Also, said its for existing customers already on a minimum $45/month plan, otherwise "how are we supposed to make money?" LOL

Brand new units are $10 instead of $5.

you mean brand new are +10 vs -5. that would explain the $15 difference. Although, I am pretty sure they will have an open box item soon (when I return mine :) )

Make sure to confirm and take screenshots of the offer where it says “$40 activation fee waived”

I signed up for this offer and was charged the activation fee, told to pay it and I would be credited after 3 billing cycles and it never happened. Got the runaround from customer service until I took it to social media and was finally credited. Such a hassle though. And I don’t think I would have been credited if I couldn’t prove with screenshots that it said the activation fee would be waived...

Yes, i'm confused too... why does it show $15.25 ?
Live chat told me $15/4GB in Ontario, then get $5 credit/month, which build up $10/4GB monthly.... what is going on?

This is interesting, I’m currently with Fido and have 2 lines (1 main 1 data only), do you think I can get this as my third and cancel my main? Seems too good to be true if that works.

Time to leave my Fido $7.50/3GB plan even though I have another year or what? Pretty frustrating. But then again "how are they supposed to make money?" hahaha...

Everything looks good for me until the last page and it becomes $15.25/month. I was going to do it at $5/month.
