I assume the 7GB for $40/mo only lasts 12 months, from 12 months to 24 months, it will be $45 because one of $5 discount is for 12 months

Still no confirmation, and I ordered on Saturday

Anyone have luck with this in store? I’m tempted to go to a Fido store to get everything figured out.

Never added a line through Fido before so is this normal, or should I be following up with them?
Just got my email confirmation, 23 hours later.

Head's up: the email indicates that it's a $50 plan for 5GB. The -$5 promotions are applied on the invoice and/or online bill viewer

Good to know, weird how they are processing orders, since it’s been over 48 hours since I ordered for me. Face With Tears Of Joy

Correct.

For the BYOD plan:

Year 1: $40 ($10 rebated)
Year 2: $45 ($5 rebated)
Year 3: $50 ($0 rebated)

The 7GB for $40 BYOD thread gets -5 net downvotes. This one gets +18, all because of a "free" 6s that effectively locks you into the plan for 24 months. I'm not saying this wouldn't be a good deal for some people, but it's funny that people hate on the other deal, but upvotes this one. All because of a 6s?

I signed up for the 40/7gb plan yesterday coming from Koodo 50/8gb. Activation fee is also waive and free 1000 international minutes. Saving $160 for the next 24months.
Fido $40/7GB
Koodo $35/5GB
Shaw $45/300MB

Has this ended?

I'm looking at their BYOD plans right now, and the best I can see is $45/5GB. Koodo is the same price, and has better nation wide coverage than Rogers.

Zoomer is $36/5GB and (800 minutes), so I'm likely to go that direction.

I have been with Virgin @ $50/4GB + a -10% discount as a second line to my wife's account for the last 2 years, but they dropped my discount last month (2 year limit), so I'm shopping around now. Don't want a new device, though.

How were you able to get the plan? I tried to add a line but the website just links back to my account page. The customer rep said that it requires that I have a regular line first and then a 2nd line could get the promotion. Based on your sig, you didn't have Fido before.

Also because this deal is for new customers too. The other one is for existing customers only, hence quite a few “unable to get the deal” downvotes since the title doesn’t mention that little tidbit.
