I actually need to change phone plans in the next few days and would've jumped on this- for once it looks like Quebec isn't getting the best deals lol

I actually signed a new phone contract with Fido two days ago. I called in multiple times, even talked to the supervisor yesterday to match my $50 plan for the 9GB and was told me they are not able to. Offer only applies to online new customers. The only way is for me to return the phone, cancel the contract with Fido (since I still have the 15 days return) and then sign a new contract with them again. Absolutely ridiculous.

So I went back to Mobile Shop where I got my phone and the salesmen just gave Fido a call and it was done in 15 mins.

Seems like the add a line for 5$ discount and 2 extra GB does not apply for this promo

Yeah, I just found out the same too.

My family added a new line recently before this $50 9GB plan was available. I asked Fido, and they said no problem they can switch the new line over to the $50 9GB plan if we want. Apparently, they said there's a 15 day grace period starting from when the line was activated, during which we can switch to a new plan if a better one comes along. I didn't know that.

But like Rwan08 said, if we switch, Fido confirmed we'll lose the $5 24-mo discount and the 2 GB bonus for secondary line. The promo plan is not compatible with those bonuses.

Edit; just called a rep. $45 for 11GB and $50 plan. Sims being sent. Call in to port.

The Chat rep said it does. It better because I'll be pissed for switching over from. Koodo after yesterday

I signed up today for 2 lines the first was $50 for 9gb and the second line with the promo was $45 for 11gb. I asked if there was anything the rep could do to make it cheaper and he offered $5 off the first line as well so ended up with $45 for 9gb and another line for $45 for 11 gb.

Online wasn't working this morning so I called in and they waived the activations fee.

Does anyone know when will this offer expire? I want to wait till mid September so my tab goes down by $40 then I can pay off the balance, not sure if the wait is too long for this offer to be gone...

Just chatted with Fido online agent, and he said you can't combine 2GB/$5 discount with 9GB/$50 plan. Sad.... I will wait a little more time for better plan!
