[Fido] Best Buy Mobile - YMMV : Fido Loyalty: $35 for 7GB & $32.50 iPhone 12 + $250 Gift Card

So, I just got this deal today at Best Buy for the iPhone 12. I am with Fido:

1) $35 for the small 2Gb plan, 5GB for $0 given part of "loyalty".
2) $32.5/month for 24 months for iPhone 12 64Gb + $250 Gift Card ($0 Down)
3) Paid about $32 for Geek Squad phone protection, received screen protector and Apple case for free. This is supposed to be a monthly phone protection subscription (i.e. $16/month), but you can pay $32 and cancel after two months, and receive the screen protector and case "for free" (worth it, imho).

Total costs comes to $67.5+tax. Sweet deal tbh.

Walmart had similar deal for $350 gift card when I was there Monday. Didn't mention 5GB bonus but that's cuz I only asked for 3Gb.

No I don't think so. You need to have been with Fido for some time.

OP you got to keep the old small plan?
I was told they are not compatible for upgrades, so I had to switch to the more expensive in market plans. Those sons of mother....

I did the same for screen protector and case with geek squad protection but you can cancel within a month and don't have to wait for 2 months. They will not ask you for the case or money back for case.

Any one can get the $35 2Gb plan. I think you might have to stay with Fido for some time (maybe more than 1 year) to get the 5 Gb Loyalty bonus which is account specific.

Wow, which store?? That's scummy.

I will from now on deal with Best Buy for sure. The guys there are not on commission as far as I understand, so they have nothing to gain.

I have the old 35$/6Gb plan with Koodo, which I thought was "good value". Nice to see Fido stepping up, at least with loyalty bonus ( also nice to see loyalty being rewarded, for a change).

So the $32.5 is a one time thing? It's not $32.5 every month for x months?

No that's $32.5/month for 24 months (basically financing the iPhone 12)
