Hmm, I'm thinking of helping my mother get the new iphone 12 but not sure which one yet and is pating 10GB + 5GB $65 - unlimited text and talk (currently has an Iphone 5 if I remember correctly).

Question: How does this upgrade work? I assume she needs to sign a 2 year term if she wants a $0 down phone? Or is it better to go to an apple store, buy the phone outright and bring it in? It seems like any carrier on a monthly installment calculation is a tiny bit high.

Never done this before since I always BYOD for myself

Going from the homepage or from "Upgrade Plan" button is not working for me.

From Upgrade Plan button, it does not show the said plan.

Honestly f*** Rogers and Fido. For the 10GB $50 plan, they say this:

“Get 4 GB of bonus data with select Data, Talk & Text plans. Offer will be applied automatically after check-out and will appear as of your 2nd or 3rd bill. Available for new activations and hardware upgrades only.”

Which means your first 2 months could be only 6GB?

This is what it says on Fido's homepage. Perhaps, you are just switching plan, not doing hardware upgrade?

I see what I'm doing wrong here. I should be selecting the 6GB/50$ plan (since that's now upgraded to 10GB).
But, I'm currently on the 50$/15GB plan. So not worth it quite yet - I'll just buy a phone separately.

I went in to get the plan. 10GB for $60 plus an additonal 4GB. An addional 2GB of bonus data which you will only have for a limited time. They have unlimited data for 5 hours per billing period as well.
