I tried searching but couldn't find great info. Is this plan compatible with the MF275R? Anyone already doing this? Any info would be appreciated!

Called the customer service number, politely inquired about available loyalty discounts, was offered tablet upgrades which I declined, was then offered 50% off for two years, which I gladly accepted. Thanks OP and thanks Redflagdeals.
The 50% 2yr promo is a better value, it equates to $360 in savings on my two lines, savings I can apply to purchasing an iPad Mini 5. I don’t need two tablets and would end up selling them anyways. Not sure the new 50% discount would cover overage charges like my previous 100% 1yr promo did for up to $50.

I called Fido but the rep said that I am not targeted for the 50% discount.

Good luck

My question was does this plan work with this device? I have read before that its for a phone or tablet. Can anyone confirm that it works with this modem?
Thanks!

Seems rather challenging, at least for me, to get a promo tablet to go along with my new 2yr 50% plan, since I don’t have an actual mobile phone account with Fido. Wonder if I can open an BYOB $35 plan, then call back to get one of the promo free tablet, or get it at a Fido store/kiosk?

Your question was "Is this plan compatible with the MF275R?" and the answer is "yes (as long as it's unlocked) because the device and Fido's network bands match".
Fido hasn't implemented any restrictions on this plan that's the reason it works with phones despite being sold as a "tablet data only plan" (whatever you read before about the plan being for "a phone or tablet" is incorrect).
You are welcome!

The 100% discount for Fido's 3GB Data only Tablet plan is back.

Mine, from last year, expired recently and so I opened up a chat session with their support and they told me that they would be able to apply it again.

The agent, at first, told me that I was NOT eligible because I already had it but then the agent, on their own accord, asked their floor support and the floor support came back with a new offer that the agent didn't know about. The agent said "there is a 100% off offer has recently opened" and so the agent applied it for me.

Maybe this is YMMV, I do not know for sure but I was able to get it.

I hope as many people as possible are able to get this offer!

This is crazy. I applied the 24 months 50% off just days ago.

Honestly, I'm happy with this already. 100% off for a year, then 50% for another 24 months? I'm satifacted with the value and literally don't want to bother with getting another 1 year off.

The only regret is not opening more lines for all my devices.

How are they making money from this? The $15/3GB deal is already pretty good.

The ongoing deal discussed this already. fido-3gb-lte-data-plan-15-byod-no-contract-2078212/
It should not take too long for this thread to be merged with it and updated with any new terms. They have done a pretty good job at keeping the thread summary up to date.

I think with these services, it's always only fixed cost. There is little to none variable costs so they don't really need to make money off it.
