After leaving Fido

Un couple of days, getting this 15gb/50$ plan by call or email
Do we need to go through Credit check?
Depends, mine was a soft credit check.

Also I compared Tests with Fido Speedtest in comparison to Telus, In fact i got more speed than telus.

i asked the same and believe it's for former fido customers only who have left, hence the winback

guess you could always port out of rogers to somewhere like lucky mobile and tell them you'll come back if they offer you the fido 50/15 deal

Lol I don't think you know how speed tests work. You need to be on the Telus network to test Telus.

Ok, rolling the dice on this one....currently a Fido member with Internet and tablet 3Gb plan only....

Added a cellphone line with data - had sim shipped out in 2 days...

Had the cellphone line with data for 3 days and just ported out to Public Mobile.

Let's see if I get a winback offer....$50/15Gb is sweet.

Though I am a little torn - currently on Telus and mainly in downtown Toronto and Richmond Hill - network signal and reception is excellent.

My Fido data plan is crap at Union Station and Brookfield Place concourse level - which is where I spend most of my weekday hours....so that might be dealbreaker for me.

Will give it a try and see how it goes (well, lets get the winback offer first)...

$50/month is my sweet spot (currently paying $70/month - BYOP)

Have you by chance looked at the pictures or are you a bit slow on the uptake?

Look at the second picture, it was a previous test made when i was on the telus network, Hence why it says "Telus Carrier" connecting to Telus Server.

I called Koodo and told them about the $50 - 15GB plan. They gave me $50 - 8GB plan with 3 GB bonus data for 24 months and I kept my 1 GB bonus so $50 for 12GB.

Btw - Fido called me back today - confirmed I was on the eligible list (I think I will stick with Koodo as I prev left Fido due to price increase). Tried to see if he could also offer to husband and daughter, he said yes until he found out they are with Rogers.

I'm on $40 / 2 GB. Good enough

Why people need more than 2GB nowadays if there is free internet everywhere.
I have two lines.
One is $35 for 5GB unlimited calling and texting. (Koodo)
The other is $0 for 1 GB unlimited calling and texting. (PM)

Why are you paying $40 for a weak plan? You can fall down on a zoomer and accidentally get more data for less money.

I would like to sign up with fido for couple of days. Do they charge activation fee? Are sim free?

are you a new client? Or already with fido?

If new, they might charge a activation fee but you can always ask the agent to waive. There shouldn't be a sim fee.

I'm an existing Fido client with internet and tablet plan - I added a cellphone voice\data line online with no fees and they shipped the sim for free in 2 days.

Yes they did, there was no promotion for a fee waiver.
