Question; the data includes a 'bonus' of 5gb. How temporary is that?

Anybody know if there is any clawback on the $200 bill credit if we cancel the line after the credit was received?

Just for a little while. I'll probably port my real numbers over in a couple of weeks.

I don't think the 5gb is temporary. My agreement shows this as a 9GB Talk & Text BYOP plan with 9GB data. Second line gets the 2GB add-on for free with $5 credit.

Interesting what you are doing.
So when you port your real number to fido in a few weeks, you get to keep the same plan with the 11$ discount? Then you close the other 3 lines at FIDO?

Lol. I went to a dealer store to check, and the sales person offered me with 9gb plan monthly $50-11 as port from freedom(I have an prepaid with them). And tablet line for $10 monthly as needed for in car internet. Asked about the $200 credit, was told only possible to do $150.

End up with $39 for 9gb for 2 years month to month and $10 for data line with free MediaPad t5 on 2year contract, along with $150 credit. Activation fee waived for phone plan only, but had to pay that for data plan.
I spent way too much time finding good deals! Now I will focus on getting my Ph.D. :)

Nope, I have three real numbers on Lucky right now. Right before my prepaid plans run out in a couple of weeks I'll port the numbers to the Fido lines I made today, won't cancel anything.

Well, I missed out on the deal. It’s too bad that there are too few corporate stores around and that customer service can’t offer the credit, especially given that many people (like myself) don’t feel comfortable going to the mall due to COVID

The guys at the mobile shop offered me the 11$ discount as an existing Fido customer itself.

Scarborough Town Centre in Ontario. I believe it was $45 for all my lines based on what the rep and contract says.
