[Fido] [Boxing Day] fido Boxing day/week promotion plan(12GB-$35 first year-$40 2nd year-$50 after)$5 cheaper than Black Friday deal

Saw an add about the plan on FB( 7205 Goreway Drive , Mississauga) (Westwood Mall).Tonight went to fido at the Stone Road Mall(Guelph) and easily got the plan as a new customer. 12GB: $35 for the first year- $40 for the second- and the rest $50-Activatio fee waived-no contract-switch whenever found a better deal. Ported one number from koodo.

This is BYOD only right?

Just got one of the Poco x3 Pros and am tired of having one of the data only packages and having to use apps for calling and texting so I'm looking for the lowest cost plan with a decent amount of data. I use teksavy for home internet so I probably can't do the shaw plan sadly.

I might take a visit to local Fido kiosk in the mall to see what they say.

Would there be a difference between Fido "corporate" and "non-corporate" stores perhaps? I know the local one is not a corporate kiosk.

Any deals for phones to stack on top of this? Or is strictly BYOD?

Sounds like the winback would only be slightly better. I got a email today with a offer of 12GB for $35 for 24 months, while this would only be $35 1 year then $40 for the second so winback would only save $5/month on the 2nd year, previously was paying $40 for 10GB BYOP but switched to Koodo on BF for 12GB at $40 for 15 months + CPO S10+ for $1.

No idea if the plan stacks with a phone deal.

But the phones are here:

https://www.fido.ca/phones/

The S20 FE was 15$/month for Black Friday (compare to $20 now). Plus Best Buy was giving $300 GC at one point + $100 to trade in a burner phone. The Fido Kiosks weren't doing that.

Maybe it will change after Christmas where better phone deals come online. It's very difficult to get a hold of Fido unless you wait on phone for hours during boxing day (assuming the same congestion as Black Friday will happen).

I bet they'll alter the phone offerings for actual boxing day the same way they did during BF.
Pre-BF phone plan cost/month was like $37/m for iPhone 12 and then dropped to low $20s/month Friday onwards. I couldn't get through the whole weekend via online chat or phone to change the phone plan from $37 to $22. By the time I called the sale was over and they wouldn't adjust the price.

So if you sign up pre-boxing day and see a lower price for boxing day, you want to try and get through to Fido to correct and phone price changes.

I think BF had better options, the promo page shows the iPhone 12 mini 128GB for $18/month or a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE for $20/month.

Pretty sure "new customer" means anyone coming from a number that is with another provider

If this was to be stacked with the Fido Referral promo, then would Fido end up applying a $35 credit to the account?
