When you get your first bill, make sure the 50% off discount is applied to both the service and the modem rental.

This is my third time (in a row!) where the discount was only applied to the service, and I had to do online chat to have the bill corrected.

What's your pricing for 150Mps? I like to know how to get it cheaper!

Doesn't work all the time. I tried calling in twice and now I'm a virgin customer. Honestly don't care, every year I plan to just switch between Virgin and Fido. It's easier than calling or chatting and wasting my time.

You can't just say "that's expensive" without giving an alternative. And by alternative, I mean give us the ISP, the monthly cost, the associated Down/Up speeds, and other specifics like modem rental/purchase or contract/commitment.

If you get the 150M option, your download speeds will routinely hit 300M, but the upload is capped at around 15M. However, it feels like the service was better last year. Snappier. This year when I do speed test, sometimes it doesn't work.

I was at Costco the other day, and they were advertising $24/month. I didn't check the speed because I was in a hurry. But it was probably for the 75M speed. I recall in the BF thread, somebody also used the Costco/Primus price when talking to FIDO. Keep in mind the discount price is sometimes only available in person at costco and not advertised on the website.

I did my change thru the Fido web chat and that was horrible. I waited for like 1 hour, and then their website kicked me out of my login. I went from 97th in the queue to like 20 after an hour of waiting. I logged in again, and back to high 90s. So I just made sure to keep clicking around their site and refresh every 10 minutes which was kind of BS.

If I ever have trouble getting on their discount, I'll just jump to Primus offered at Costco. The speed isn't 300M, but I almost never go at that speed.

I was on the 150M $37.50 + tax plan from last year, I was able to get the posted deal for $42.50 + tax by talking to an agent.

Don't worry - the comparison is probably using Carrytel or Cannet.

I was with Carrytel for almost 2.5yrs (2018-20) before switching back to Fido. They are not so cheap anymore. Even so, wondering which ISP Thatdealguy is referring to.
