Took about 5 minutes to get my 75MB plan up and running - plug and play. Initial bill has yet to be posted. Hope everything will be all right and thanks for the heads-up about possible billing issues.
Have been getting 100MB DL on the plan so that is nice. Suspect bonus speed wont last much longer.

Nah, Speed boost is a permanent thing, they provision the modems very similar to Rogers (fun fact, I actually got a Fido modem when I did a modem swap with rogers a few years back)peli33 wrote: ↑ Took about 5 minutes to get my 75MB plan up and running - plug and play. On the 150 plan, my friend has been speed boosting to about 300mbit. Honestly a great benefit for general use.

Nice. Mine was still assigned. Either way, it was still a hassle trying to figure out what the issue was. They should have confirmed before sending out their modems and inconveniencing the customers.

It has nothing to do with the router or with wifi. The modem tops out at 150Mbps, even with a direct connection.

Thanks! I just checked my most recent Fido bill and they were charging me $8 for the modem rental on the 50% off for 150mbps deal. I contacted Fido via chat and they will be crediting my next invoice for the $4 and reducing my modem rental to $4.

+1, mine too. It's probably his/her provider. Just finished setting mine up.

Mine is all good as well. Only one which is expected to be blocked is GoldTV as per court order:
https://www.engadget.com/2019-11-18-can ... oldtv.html
In this case issue is ISP independent as they are all expected to enforce blacklist.

Previous plan with start.ca 75/5Mbps was still getting 80 this morning.
Switched to Fido this afternoon and none of my devices can pull over 5Mpbs
Speedtest from Fido.ca
