My Rogers 500u internet promo expired yesterday.

Called today and they cannot match so I cancelled.

Fido has a promo for 150mbps for half the price for a year.

So I called and signed up.

Here where it gets interesting, they will be giving a $100GC

What if you have the 4GB / LTE data SIM plan - are you still considered a "new Fido customer" and eliglible for the $100 GC?

Thanks ,can you expand on the free tablet? I already have the 4G $15 plan but opted for without a device (wanted to go on a month-to-month basis) - how would I be eligible for a free tablet too?

Thanks OP, gonna try to see what Rogers will do if I stay with them, otherwise I'll switch back to Fido ... and maybe eligible for a tablet with free data :-)

Op I am in the same boat as you! Robbers have me on until March 2020 and won't extend the 500u at all at the price I have. They are saying that apparently they don't do internet contracts more than 12 months now (I call that bs).

How is the Fido 150 internet? Is it a lot slow? Okay for PS4 online gaming?

Even 30mbps is good for gaming. 150 is pretty fast. Theoretical download speeds of 18.75MB/s. Also, the actual speed that you get is usually much higher than 150. It's close to 300.
For gaming, upload matters too. But it's more than good enough in this plan.

So what do you recommend I do? I pay $37 including tax for the 500u. Should I jump on this now or wait it out?
