But if you're past the 24 month term on the original free tablet you can still get the Samsung Tab A for $0 on a new 24 month commitment plus $35 activation fee. If you're currently on a 50% loyalty discount they'll carry that over too. FWIW when I called them I said that my original LG G Pad III was broken and I was looking for a replacement.
Thanks. How's the tablet vs the g pad?

I finished the first 24 months contract in May and renew it with 50% discount. Any chance I will get the free tablet? Which phone number should I call? Thanks.

Not as good. It's slower and has poorer screen resolution. But it's OK for light use. You can't buy anything comparable for $35.

This is a good deal!
Too bad I got a tablet and it is less than 2 years.
Can I get a new activation to get this plan?
If I buy something that is not in deep discounted, my father will punish me; everyone will laugh at me. I will be the strange kid who doesn't fit in.

Tablet should come in two days and I can confirm I will have 4 Gb of data during two years for free, so yes it is a $750 value,
For those wondering, I'm on the Black Friday 2015 BYOD 2Gb+2Gb deal for $34.

$34 for unlimited text and calls, 4Gb (cellphone), free tablet and 4Gb (tablet) is almost stealing.
Thanks OP !
I'm on the same plan (in Quebec, if that matters) and spoke to the most amazing rep in the world, but no go. He told me it was targeted before I got the request out, but he did go through the account and went though all my offers and said he'd look into it and call me back. I got the impression I wasn't his first call on the subject Confused Face

Much slower and lower resolution, I would suggest you to go to the store to test it out first.

It seems these companies penalize the most loyal customers. It makes sense. If customers are loyal, then they have no incentive to offer them deals to keep them.

But for $35 does it really matter?

Thx. I went back to store now. They called in and yes, the rep didn't apply any promo code. Now said I will see activation fee and first monthly fee in my next bill, then they will apply the code and will see credit back on 3rd bill . And then should have all month credit back afterwards.

Will see.

Wife didn't have the offer in her fido xtra, used fido online chat and was able to get the offer, should have it in the mail later this week.

She's on a byod plan from a couple years back.
