Can anyone confirm if I can get this if I move over to Fido now with a BYOD?

Some EXISTING customers couldn't even get the deal.

Interesting, I guess not then! I figured maybe they'd want to entice new customers to come over to Fido!

It's highly YMMV.. Folks have had success in the similar deal last year..

Just finished a 2+ hour online chat session. Before any changes were done I had 2 3gb lines on the 50% off loyalty rebate.

In the past I could not even do any changes to the 3gb since I did not have an actual data/voice/text plan with them. So this time around, I told the rep ok, I am willing to jump back to FIDO if they can do a bit better on the 2GB $45 Data/talk/text plan. So the rep gave me a bonus 2gb data and $5 off for the next 24 months. Then we modified the 2 existing data plans and upped them to 4gb and then got the huawei tablet on each and will be $0 on the tablet and the service for 24 months as well. Finally, I added a new 3rd tablet data line, and although the tablet is free, the rep can't give me the data service for free. But I opted for the refurbished tablet which gave me a $5 credit for 25 months.

Overall, I think for the time I spent, it was relatively worth it. I did have to pay set up fees for each of the things the rep did ($40 x 4), but I think even after counting that, I'm still coming out ahead.

Does anyone know if a Fido line with a SIM can be moved to an esim?

I signed up with Rogers EPP for 24 months to get this tablet. Just flipped it for 150. Lots of offers for 120.

A bonus is the simcard they sent me is shared data with my phone plan, plus they threw in 3 gigs free. So I can throw that in a tablet or laptop for data.

Makes my plan 23 gig 47.5+tax. Love it.

The tablet is free and the plan is $0 for 24 months, but do you still have to pay taxes?

Actually I don't even see the CPO T5 on their website.

I got the 32GB CPO. I was asked if I wanted the 16GB or 32GB version. I chose the 32GB.

For the same price? And they had to ask? But as I posted earlier, I don't even see the CPO T5 on their website.
