[Fido] Huawei T5 10 $0/m with bill credit on $15/m 4gb tablet plan for 24mo

Not as good as the completely free plan and tablet deal but if you're paying for a data-only plan anyway, might as well get a tablet out of it.

$15 x 24mo = $360

I like the tablet. It needs a case though. Slippery and hard to handle otherwise.

according to Fido, a postpaid plan is a prerequisite to get this deal

Highly YMMV, and much better chances not to require one if activating at 3rd party dealers vs directly with Fido. This December got my 3rd data only plan from Fido and still never opened a postpaid plan

16gb is really restrictive nowadays, especially since half is used by system.

This would be really good in combination with Google Voice which is available in Canada as of this month. Gsuite users only

The plan is good however this tablet is just a bit better than a piece of electronic waste, too old for 2020 use.

I am up to 3 of these plans with one being free as a loyalty gift. 2 Samsung's and the Huawei Total 12 gigs $30 a month. $10 a gig for overgig.

Which is better, this or the Samsung Tab A 2020 version?

it seems FIDO increased the tablet price from 0 to 15, the Samsung and Huawei T5 use to be 0 for a long time, and then the price started to fluctuate.

FIDO Increased the Tab A because they released the 2020 8.4" version.

The cost of G Suite with G Voice in Canada is $10/month.

G Hangouts is free, as is Fongo, TextNow, et al.

I'd get the 2020 version if you know for sure that's the one. I think even the 2019 was close to on par with T5, altough I would've chosen the T5 still.

Hi I have a question, I have a line activated in April 2020, so Fido created a contract with 16gb 2gb variant, I signed up this month for another line they gave me a 32gb 3Gb RAM variant. So back in April was Fido selling 16gb 2gb RAM model ? Do you know when exactly they start to sell 32gb as base model?

Best to ask them, I'm not with fido any more. That model sounds a lot better.
