Fido offers for existing BYOD customers(YMMV)

Retailer:: Fido Offers

I am an existing Fido customer, switched to Fido from Freedom in October 2020, received 11 GB data for $34($16 discount valid until Oct 2022)

Fido gave me additional 5GB data , and my data is now 16 GB

Today when I saw my special offers, I saw
Pixel 4a (5G)-$5 and $200 one time credit
Pixel 4a -.01 and $200 one time credit
iPhone 11 -$11
Samsung S20FE- $10

There were other offers , cannot remember them all.
I was unable to do online, so told Fido representative, about it.
He helped me in getting a Pixel 4a (5G)
So , total price for device for two years of my existing service is 120 +tax plus 200 dollars worth of one time credit .

My new bill will be -$39 plus tax until Oct 2022
$55 from nov 2022 until Mar 2023

does fido offer a discount on there plans for BYOD?
Was looking at there 10gb $50 plan but dont see no addition discounts as it use to be 10%

I received a discount when I switched from Freedom.
$11 for porting the number for two years
$5 for existing customer bringing a line

My plan is $50 ($16 worth of discount, makes it $34, they are valid until Oct 2022)
I spoke with the customer care and he helped me get it without changing my plan as the offer was in my special offers.

I have 16 GB of data for $50 (no expiry date)
The discounts are $16 until Oct 2022,
It was given to all customers who ported from Freedom during sep - oct 2020 .

if you go to the Fido app, I got mine in a message. They offered me some phones "just for me" like a pixel 4a for 0.01$ for 2 years and more...seemed like they were clearing out a lot.

Not really, once they go on clearance you can get it cheaper. Also look if you have any better data plans, my plan is $45/25gb with 5 extra 1 hour unlimited a month. I would say the hottest deal as of late was the samsung note 10+ for 18 bucks a month...unless you're super into apple products, I wouldn't jump on the 19.99 deal yet.

the best I got currently in my account is $55/15gb... my current plan ($40/10gb) also has the 5 extra...
not sure if its because I currently have a free tablet plan ($0/3GB) and another free table with $5/4gb...

Could be targeted by location, I got the tablet plans too, but I never pulled the trigger since I didn't want to be on any 2 year contracts yet (regardless if their "free"). My current plan is indefinite

Did you switch recently? I'm with Freedom and wanted back with Fido, would love a new pixel for that deal also. But my freedom plan is like $45 for 20gb of data. I'd rather take the 16gb at $39 with the phone you have, wonder if they'll offer me the same if I switch?

This Freedom promotion was in 2020 in Sep and October
All the carriers had the promotion at that time.
