As mentioned, when speaking to the rep, he said only one will apply - looks to be some kind of glitch.

Breakdown:
$26.38 (including taxes) - monthly price of the Pixel 4A
minus $13.34 - monthly phone credit
(13.04)*24 = $312.96
minus $100 bill credit
= $212.96
How much does it end up being for pixel 5?

I already checked out but off my memory ( and in Ontario) it was
$44 (including taxes) - Pixel 5
-$19 - monthly phone credit
$25*24=$600
minus $100 bill credit
= $500

Pixel 4a is a better deal but regardless I got the 5.

ahh so the $100 credit is actually going to be applied to the 2nd monthly bill then. So it doesn't show at the checkout.

Do you think there would be a better deal for the Pixel 5 from Google for black Friday? I'm not eligible for the $100 credit since my plan is $40.

Fido payment program discounts reduces your taxable amount so you only pay tax on the net $20 or $10 per month you pay for the device each month.

This is how I'm billed for my S10 that is being financed through Fido.
$58.34 regular price - $38.34 payment plan reduction = $20 + tax.

Same applies to the Pixel 5! I'm an existing customer, but as far as I'm aware this is available to new customers as well.
Did you have to talk to an online agent? I have the Loyalty Standard Plan for $45.00/mo but I see nothing which allows me to get the phone w/o changing my plan.

No, it was just available to me during the process. I had two tabs, one for selecting a new plan, and another for keeping my existing.

Seems like a good deal to me. Upgraded the wife's pixel 2, she will be happy.

Thanks for sharing.

$100 for the 4A, and $175 for 5 in the form of a BestBuy GC. Also, The Mobile Shop is offering 100,000 Optimum points ($10 value) for the 4A, and 150,000 points ($150) for the 5.

I did it on a BYOP plan, I think it just needs to be $45 a month at least. Currently on a $60 15gb and it worked, popped up during the check out process and was able to apply the $100 credit.

I'm on a $50 plan and when I'm on the phone's detail page I can't add the phone without selecting a plan to add with it

Logged into my Fido account and saw the Pixel 5 for $20 a month and had the option to keep my 15gb $60 plan. Took it a step further and saw the popup with the $100 bill credit offer.

I don't need a new phone right now but maybe next year they'll have a similar deal on the Pixel 6..lol

Well shit.

Does Fido offer price protection? I bought a Pixel 5 through Costco on November 5 as my iPhone X suddenly died.

Thanks OP. Tbh I never knew there is something called "Monthly financed device tax GST & PST"... Such a rip off from the government. I think I'm sticking with my $35/11 gb with Freedom and almost cheaper to buy out the device without any contract..
