I already checked out but off my memory ( and in Ontario) it was
$44 (including taxes) - Pixel 5
-$19 - monthly phone credit
$25*24=$600
minus $100 bill credit
= $500

Pixel 4a is a better deal but regardless I got the 5.

ahh so the $100 credit is actually going to be applied to the 2nd monthly bill then. So it doesn't show at the checkout.

Fido payment program discounts reduces your taxable amount so you only pay tax on the net $20 or $10 per month you pay for the device each month.

This is how I'm billed for my S10 that is being financed through Fido.
$58.34 regular price - $38.34 payment plan reduction = $20 + tax.

No, it was just available to me during the process. I had two tabs, one for selecting a new plan, and another for keeping my existing.

I did it on a BYOP plan, I think it just needs to be $45 a month at least. Currently on a $60 15gb and it worked, popped up during the check out process and was able to apply the $100 credit.

Logged into my Fido account and saw the Pixel 5 for $20 a month and had the option to keep my 15gb $60 plan. Took it a step further and saw the popup with the $100 bill credit offer.

I don't need a new phone right now but maybe next year they'll have a similar deal on the Pixel 6..lol

Thanks OP. Tbh I never knew there is something called "Monthly financed device tax GST & PST"... Such a rip off from the government. I think I'm sticking with my $35/11 gb with Freedom and almost cheaper to buy out the device without any contract..
