Not sure if anyone has posted this but we went to Costco and got the Virgin Plus $34/30GB data on Monday for one of our Fido lines (was paying $40 for 20GB). Fido then repeatedly called, and we answered this evening: the winback agent offered us $30 for 30GB with no expiration date + international texting + 1000 mins LD to many countries (didn't bother to ask as we are not going to use it anyways). I decided to jump back with Fido, as Virgin's LTE speed is pissed poor compared to Fido's (Burquitlam area), and between the Robelus trio, I hate Bell the most.

Some people gets plan for $25 BYOD. So you are overpaying your monthly plan by $20 ($45 per month vs $25 per month) and additional $21 for Iphone so you are overpaying $41 ($20+$21) per month to get the device. For two years, $984 is what you are paying for Iphone 13. Is Iphone 13 worth more than $984? Ebay is selling them for $700-$800. So it doesn't sound like you got a good deal.
@Supermat4life
I got something similar as your from Costco last year (2022).

$45 for 35GB
$20 for iPhone 12

$250 in Costco gift card (They only issue them in multiples of $25, freaks me out holding onto that stack)
Free Otterbox, car charger and cheapo bluetooth earbud.

Those gift cards are the true equalizer

Anyone else have the $34/50GB plan starting next billing cycle, but the $5/month credit starting today? I'm worried they removed my $20/month credit in exchange for the $5...

I signed up for this as a new activation. Were you able to lock this price in as permanent, or is there an expiry?

I just dealt with Fido Retentions so I thought I would share. I have two lines with Fido, both with a "plus" phone subsidy. They gave me $38/month for 40gb on one line and $40 for 40gb on the other. I'm happy enough with it. I get that there are cheaper plans with maybe more data, but considering I get a phone subsidy I think what I got was pretty reasonable.

The plan is $39 minus a $5 automatic payments discount. Did you set up a credit card to get the $5 discount? If not, the total makes sense.

Looks like this thread is done but I'm going to try to post here anyways.

For a loyal customer the best I'm getting is 30 gb for $50 per month or with a new device 50 gb for $45. I've been with Fido for 20 years and this is the best they can do they told me. Its annoying and looks like I'm heading to another provider. Anyone have better luck in Ontario?

Fido and Koodo have $34 for 50gb a month, but I'm trying to get Fido to waive the auto-pay requirement for the same price as Koodo.

Got a call after leaving a month ago (Quebec) after a bit of back and forth here’s what I ended with:
35$ for 50gig - permanent 10$ rebate
4g speed
Unlimited calls in Canada
Unlimited international texting
And the other normal bells and whistles

I have 5 tablet plans and one normal plan. I have been trying to contact retentions through online chat to get a discount and they have told me over and over that they can't offer anything. Is this true or are they just refusing to actual send me up the chain to someone that can actually offer a retention discount.
