[Fido] Samsung S10 Plus $260 YMMV (HUP requires 2 year contract but you can keep your existing plan)
I thought I'd share this in its own thread - if this could help someone looking to upgrade her/his Fido device.
I have been looking to do a device upgrade, with my current provider Fido.
A few days ago I noticed Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus listed as $12.93 per month with 0 down (all numbers are before taxes).
This price only showed up when I went to Fido My Account (logged in) and followed the steps to upgrade to a new device. This is a lower price than if I was not logged in My Account or if I were to add a second line and get a device for the 2nd line.
Samsung S10 was priced at $14.12/mo with $0 down.
On top of that, they offered $100 bill credit for both options.
It was tempting, but I decided to wait.
Today I decided to go ahead, but the price has gone up to $15/mo for S10 Plus (and $20/mo for S10), zero down. The $100 one time bill credit is still offered for both. Reason: I think it's a pretty good deal, and I don't know how much lower it would go during BF sale.
I took it anyway, and was able to get $50 extra one time credit from CS.
CS said the $100 credit will show up on 2nd or 3rd bill, but the $50 was already applied to my account.
S10+: $15 x 24 - $100 = $260 (before taxes, before the $50 credit).
Previous to upgrading my device, I had no contract with Fido (on winback plan).
On top of that I can keep my winback plan after upgrading.
