[Fido] Samsung S20 FE ($25 x 24 months) - $100 bill credit

I just noticed that Fido has Samsung S20 FE at $25/month x 24 month, and they give $100 bill credit on 2nd or 3rd bill.
Total price is
$25 x 24 + tax - $100 = $578 in Ontario.
Also, not sure if it's just me, but in the list of the plans, they had $50/month for 10GB.

Not to hijack, but it's worth checking out Roger EPP, I see the S20 FE 5G for $15 per month on financing, or the Pixel 5 for $20 per month. YMMV.

Yeah, I wish I could get one of those fantastic EPP plans too.
Unfortunately a lot of us should select from mass-market offerings.

Nice find. Koodo also dropped their price on the S20 FE along with other Samsung devices. No $100 credit like the Fido deal but comes with a pair of JBL earbuds. From my experience, I like Koodo far more than Fido. Pretty good customer service and a way better website for self serve.

Can't find the $50/month for 10GB though. Only says $50 for 6GB.

To each to their own.
I like Fido's live chat much better, but yes Koodo's website for self-serve is much more refined experience.
Also I would've liked the TWS if I didn't have any, but already have 2 TWS and a few other pairs of IEMs and headphones, so I'd prefer just straight credit of a comparable amount.

I checked the fido site and they don't say anything about a $100 credit for the FE.

When you checkout there is a mention of the $100 credit "if you place your order now"

Costco also offers $200 gift card with the S20 fe. But you probably need to pay the activation fee.

I'm not that familiar with Fido's phone financing. Does anyone know if I can just pay off the remainder of the phone balance after I buy the phone? This is cheaper than buying directly from samsung for $650+tx.

If there's no fees or penalties for paying off the fido device balance, I might as well just do that.

It's just a matter of turning on the switch for them since rogers already has it.
But they want to milk as much money from early adopters by having them change plans etc. Did this at volte, wifi calling, roam

Just a heads up, I was about to go through with this hardware upgrade but at the checkout screen it suddenly shows the regular price of the phone at $56/mnth instead of $50.
Trying to get help to see what's going wrong, but their website has been crashing a lot lately.

It's not wrong - the hardware is $50+tax/month, but they apply $25 discount for 24 months, so you will see the discount from your plan (e.g. if your plan is $60, you will see $60 - $25).
I think in this way, Fido is making clear that the hardware price remains the same as full price ($1,200), but as long as you stay with Fido, you get $25 monthly discount in your bill.

But I do get what you mean. Their price and plan summary are not very accurate - Some amounts are + tax, some are including tax, discounts are not shown in some of the pages/summaries/documents, it's really hard to read through and understand.

Thanks, the device is saying $50/month with a $25/mnth bill credit. All good, until the last page where it changes to $56.
I'm now guessing this is taxes they're baking into the price at the hardware's retail price? There is a tax breakdown that doesn't include it which is confusing.

If you are adding the phone to a BYOP plan......be aware that you lose your bargaining ability for 2 years.
