[Fido] Win Back promo $45 5GB data, unlimited calling, texting, 6 months Spotify

I moved my line from Fido to Videotron few months ago and just received a call from Fido to offer me the following plan to try to bring me back today.

BYOD, $45 plus tax
5 GB Data
Unlimited Canada Wide calling, texting and international texting etc.
6 months Spotify for free
5 hours of free data per month
No contract but price is guaranteed for 24 months.

For signing a new device, I asked for iPhone X 64G with $499 and 256G with $699 for $60/month with plan that I mentioned above.

Currently, I have $40/month 6G with Videotron. Is it worth to sign an iPhone X now?

They called me for a similar offer but I got 6gb(3GB + 3GB bonus) for $45 and it was BYOP. Not unlimited calling, eve/weekend free, 6 months of spotify. So you could try to squeeze out another GB

This might be a separate issue but I just spent 2 hrs on the phone with them on a data dispute. My plan started in the later half of the billing period and the data allotment was pro-rated (not sure if thats the right term but I didn't have access to the bonus 3gb) so I got dinged $105 for overages. The reason for my service starting at the later part of the billing cycle is because they used the billing cycle of when I was with them in 2016 (I guess my file/account was still active with them). So be sure they let you know how much data you have until the end of the cycle.

About 2 months ago, they gave me the same offer. And I asked for a S8 for 0 downpay and 60 per month, 5GB data, and all the same as your plan.

So was that Fido's iPhone X offer to you, or did you propose that and they said it's possible?

They offered $60/month with $499 for iPhone X 64G or $699 for 256G.

I'm going to negotiate $500 credit for the device as
roguedragon
mentioned.

Where are all you guys getting deals like this located? Anybody in Ontario by chance, or are these Quebec/BC only?

I got this too! Also used the $500 credit to pay off some of my existing owing device balance :)

?? read the first post. This is a win back offer so you need to port out to another carrier and hope that they call you to win you back as a customer

I'm in Ontario. Left Fido to goto Koodo (MB plan) nearly 2 years ago and they offered a plan that was nearly the same but $5 cheaper so I took it to get onto a plan from my home province.

ported out a few months ago as well. hoping I get a similar call but worried that they might scrub me out from the winback list because I’m on the national do not call registry :/

Left Fido for Zoomer but don't think Zoomer folk are getting lots of 'win back' calls, huh?

What do you think the chances are of someone calling in as a new customer and getting this deal matched?
