The free tablet made sense for Fido

Most of the people who got offered that promo were on a month to month plan and could leave anytime

The tablet is locked in for 2 years and you can’t have the tablet plan without first having a voice and data plan.

I'm using the $10 4GB data only plan from a couple months back which also came with a free Android tablet, cancelled my previous $15 3GB plan right away.
Too bad they didn't offer me anything when I asked for cancellation.

RFD just made me not as proud.
Lol I called to cancel a data plan I didn't need anymore and they offered me 1 year free. I thought I hit the jackpot, but your 2 years just put a damper on it. :P

Anyone about to pickup a free data line if you have a voice+data line?

Last time I got the free discount they applied the discount on overage fees too. Is that included as well this time around?

The rep I spoke to said I would still pay on overages.

I'll try this tomorrow. Unfortunately I have a new tablet attached to this and it's barely over a month old... Wonder if I'll manage to score

I have two tablet lines on Fido, no voice lines. One is on 50% for over a year. Other is 6 months old.

Tried to get discount on 6 month plan, but no luck.

FYI, there are several threads on this same topic already, going on for years, and with much more info...

Same here. I really only worry on overages at my summer cottage where this is my only source of internet. literally. in the woods. My last 12 months of free in 2018 was including overages which I did not abuse more than maybe 12-16gbs when I was on vacation for 3 weeks.

just got the 24 months free offer and hoping its a repeat performance of 2018.
