[Fido] [YMMV] Fido Loyalty Program - 20 Gb for $50

I was just chatting with Fido through their website, and their rep offered me a loyality plan of 20 Gb for $50.

I think this is a really good deal for those who need lots of data ( I was hoping to get $35 or $40 for 10Gb).

I hope this is useful info.

No really a good loyalty plan. Many stores in Ottawa are offering 20gb for $55.

Typically ask if they have a plan available that matches that of their competitors - the $40 for 10GB I think was the current back to school promo - because you’re considering switching; ie. Virgin/Bell or Koodo/Telus. Don’t bother mentioning Rogers or their other subsidiaries.

The plan the OP mentioned is $5 cheaper. How is that not better for the same amount of GB?

Ah yes, because everyone here lives in Ottawa.

I'm just saying that retention offers should be and are better than the offer op got no matter where in Canada. If you can get the $55 dollar normaly in Ottawa without retention than the $50 one is not good. If you live outside of Ontario than the offer op got is horrible for retention. I'm saying this because there's an ongoing thread about this.

Has anyone had experience switching to one of these plans when you have an existing monthly bill credit? Do you lose those when you change the plan?

This offer keep showing up when I login to my account. I chatted twice to confirm before accepting. Both reps told me that I will lose the bill credits if we switch.

I was in 45-10/4G + 1000 LD for 2 years agreement since last Black Friday. And is offered 45/15G plan, will lose 10 credit and 1000 LD if switch.

After negotiation, got 2Gb bonus data for 24 months. So now is 35/6G +1000 LD. decent deal.

I also got this. They won't let me keep my $10 credit on previous account. I asked them about adding bonus data for 1 month for a trip I'm going on. They offered 3gb for 3 months for free which works for me. Worth a try if you need a bit more for a few months.
