Fine lint/dust left at the bottom of top load washer after laundry?

Hi there, was wondering if anyone else had this experience. We got a new agitator top load washer, and recently noticed there is lint/dust/small particles left at the bottom of the drum after wash cycle, and would stick to any laundry that was at the bottom. We tried running the self clean cycle, but nothing has really changed. Any ideas on this?
