Fire Table vs Patio Heater

Looking at options for extending patio season (expecting a second wave...) for those who have experience, which provide bettter heating? I imagine the firetale (like a coffee table) as it is lower and heat can radiate but not sure. What are your thoughts? (It woud be a propane based patio heater or fire table(

We have both.

Fire table we use year round
For both decor / ambiance ... and some heat
(Colder weather works best in a semi enclosed area ... like under an overhang, in a gazebo, or gazebo with screening / winter cover )

Patio Heaters ... like the tall ones you see @ Restaurants & Bars
Direct heat down from above
So a lot warmer
We use ours on exceedingly damp evenings in the summer
And also good Spring & Fall
So as to extend Patio Season a bit longer

We DO NOT use our Patio Heater in the gazebo
Or under any overhang (Height issue ... and runs too hot)

We got by with the fire table for years
(Does more = better investment ... also more costly @ $ 500+ )

Added the patio heaters later on (on sale around $ 200 )

I did a fair amount of research and talking with people and came to the conclusion that Patio Heaters for warmth. Personally, I like the look idea and feel for gas fire table. I have a 50K BTU fire table and its fine for cool evenings, but not great for windy areas (heat moves away quickly), but if you can get closer to it, its nice.
